Lockdown Day 24
Saturday and a little catching up on my latest Coursera course. Then called away to the ice cream shop ($2 ice cream cones, not bad). Some of us tried wii dancing afterwards, luckily I couldn’t photograph myself. We’ve also started a competition in share trading. Vicky, Mike and I put 300 NZD into an app […]
Lockdown Day 23
Finishing up my accounts today, it’s been a pretty good year so I have some tax to pay. This one is going to be tough: We went for the usualt afternoon walk in somewhat threatening weather but the rain held off. Not a lot has changed but it’s good to re-visit the academics once in a while. Ana’s staring […]

Lockdown Day 18
Easter Sunday, except that we are holding Easter over until tomorrow so Mike can share it with us, he’s worked the past few days on the front line. We have a whole lamb rack of ribs from the neighbours which I’ve never cooked before so tomorrow should be interesting. It’s not like the tiny racks […]
Lockdown Day 17
We slept in today and mooched around the house until lunchtime. Later on Vicky, Ana and I went for a walk and decided to explore Mātakitaki Lane which runs off the main road opposite the Sports and Rugby Club. Mātakitaki pā has a bloody history being one of the sites of a major battle during […]
