South day 7

A beautiful winter day in Marlborough, cold but sunny.

After breakfast we set out for The Snout, a longish walk along a steadily narrowing bush-clad ridge overlooking Queen Charlotte Sound.

Great views but it was our first long walk for quite a while so hard going.

We stopped for lunch and a chat to New York after about 5km and decided to head back.

Arrived at the van tired but happy and had tea in the last of the afternoon sun.
